Description
A vertical isolation pack is a sterile, disposable kit used to create a vertical sterile barrier field around the surgical site. It includes a drape, fluid collection pouch, and tube holders.
The drape is made of SMS/SMMSfabric and covers the patient and surgical field. The fluid collection pouch collects fluids that leak during surgery. Tube holders secure tubes inserted into the patient.
- SMS/SMMS fabric: A type of non-woven fabric that is made from spunbond, meltblown, and spunbond fibers. SMS/SMMS fabric is water-resistant and fluid-proof.
- Drainage tube: Drainage tubes are made of plastic or rubber and have a small opening at one end.
- Suction device: Suction devices typically use a vacuum to remove fluids.
- Sterile: Free from contamination.
- Disposable: Used once and then discarded.
