Description
An IV cannula, also known as an intravenous catheter or IV line, is a medical device used to administration of fluids, medications, or other substances directly into a patient’s vein.
- The catheter tube is a flexible, hollow tube that is inserted into a patient’s vein. It allows fluids, medications, or blood products to flow from an IV bag or syringe into the patient’s bloodstream.
- Have wings or flanges that extend from the catheter hub. These wings are used for stabilization and secure attachment to the patient’s skin.
- The hub is the connection point where the IV tubing is attached. It also provides access for attaching syringes or other infusion devices.
